Product details

Pacheesi, originated in ancient India around the 6th century. Often referred to as the "Royal Game of India," it was played on large, cloth boards with elaborate designs. The game was popular among Indian royalty.

Pacheesi evolved into several variations, including Ludo and Parcheesi, which spread globally during British colonial rule. The game symbolizes strategy, chance, and the historical and cultural richness of Indian traditions, retaining its popularity through the centuries.

How to Play Pacheesi

Pacheesi is a traditional Indian board game, involves a race to move pieces around a cross-shaped board. Each player starts with four pieces, starting from the centre. (belly) players take turns rolling a pair of rectangular dice to determine the number of moves. Pieces move counterclockwise around the board's perimeter, and the objective is to navigate all pieces back to the starting position. If a player's piece lands on an opponent's, the opponent's piece is sent back to the centre.

The first player to move all their pieces around the board and back to the centre wins the game.
